XBLA Game Room|Classic arcade action on the Xbox 360

Here we go with another week of retro titles being released for the Game Room service over Xbox LIVE on the Xbox 360 console. This week has a pretty obscure list of games being released. Three for the Atari 2600, two for Intellivision, and two general arcade titles. Just a friendly reminder, we release this information on our Twitter account @XBLAGameRoom and on our Facebook Page on Thursdays. That’s a whole four days earlier! So why do we wait to post it here? Because we’re working on other projects to make this site better for all of our readers! So, without further delay, here are the releases for Wednesday, May 26th:

Over at the official Xbox.com forums in the Game Room section, a dedicated fan by the name of MSQ Ganner has put up an interesting thread. It’s not your regular Game Room competition. No, this competition gives you bragging rights and crowns you the first King, or Queen of Game Room!

To become the King/Queen of Game Room gamers, you will have to reach at least level 40 (unlocking space theme) and have filled the full achievement grid (all 1000 GS points). The first gamer to do so will be named Game Room King/Queen.

This upcoming Wednesday, May 19th has Krome Studios and Microsoft releasing yet another seven new retro titles for Game Room as promised. Last week’s update went as planned with no errors or delays and everyone is hoping this week continues that trend! There are some great titles being added to the line-up this week as we mentioned last week on our Twitter account @XBLAGameRoom and on our Facebook Page. Including the return of Time Pilot which was removed from the Xbox LIVE Arcade some time back; and the original Asteroids! This week on Wednesday, May 12th Krome Studios and Microsoft release another seven new retro titles for Game Room. It has just been announced on the official @KromeStudios Twitter that the Xbox LIVE will be getting last weeks delayed seven original arcade and console classics to add to your retro arcade this Wednesday May 5th. From Pitfall! (Activision) to Super Breakout (Atari), next week’s line-up marks the NEW start of a steady stream of arcade hits releasing every Wednesday, exclusively for Game Room on Xbox LIVE.

After last week’s delay, that has still not been explained by either Microsoft or Krome Studios in any detail other than “We are working to bring you additional Game Room titles as soon as possible! More details later…” is looking like it might get back on track this week.
